The track season of 2008 has finally started!
Our first track event was held in Alastaro Circuit, a great track for the season opening.
The beginning is always thrilling. Now it was even more so, because many of the carfreaks had new rides. The expressions and comments after some laps were very cheerful. Congratulations guys, leave a reply to tell something =)
Last Saturday I had an opportunity to join our good friends at MotorStars Oy Ltd at their first test of the all new Honda Challenge 2008 car at the Alastaro racetrack here in Finland. I had been following their progress of building the car for some time now at my visits to their shop and the quality and parts they have put into the new car is simply amazing. I told them I would like to see the car in action when they finally get it done. As the weather took a turn to better, I received a call that they would be testing the car on Saturday (April 12th). The world of Today is becoming harsh for the friends of true Sports cars; Governments are tackling with CO2-emission issues related to Global warming and seem to choose an easy refuge when deciding on the taxation of Automobiles. In order to guide consumer behaviour as well as the car industry towards a more clean future, the trend is to tax vehicles on their CO2 payload and CO2 only. Whoever forgot the other emissions such as nitrogen oxides accumulating to acidization of the environment, or additions to the amounts of harmful small particles, for example? Neither are the current emission based taxation changes exactly anywhere near fair towards the breed of sports cars, if you do the comparison between the actual pollutives on a vehicle vs. vehicle -basis. Most will agree that these are important issues; they just need to be done right.
Last October BMW opened it’s BMW Welt (BMW World) in Munich. It’s modern architecture and free entry make a must visit for anyone coming to Munich, Germany. Here is a short video, in HD or Flash, of the multiple attractions the building has to offer. Enjoy!
To start, I want to apologize for my laziness. I’ve just simply been enjoying the car and have not been that interest in writing about it. Sorry about that. So now the first track season is end. A few new mods have also been installed, and I’ve started to learn the car.

Imagine an average Sunday. Imagine waking up just like any other day. But then, add just a few short hours, and realize that you’ve just bought a new car - no prior planning, no nothing, just a simple quick deal. I’ve always been impatient in making decisions, but this has to be a new record for me too.
With the second trip of the year done, many of us are left with mixed feelings. We had once again an all together amazing trip, with plenty of track time mixed with just the right amount of R&R. On the other hand, the long, cold and dark winter season is approaching, and it will be many - way too many - months until we can be back again.
This is our lives and the stories evolved around them. We share our joys and sorrows and bring it in form of the Content to the enthusiast community. You are also invited to buckle up and join the ride.
