During the last trackday my car developed a problem, it pops out the 2nd and 4th gear when doing treshold braking on the track. I have a reason to believe it might be engine mounts, transmission mounts of the shifter linkage. Today I updated the transmission mount to E24 series, this trick was covered in Gustave’s site www.e30m3performance.com.

The old mounts really were dead, so this wasn’t a useless mod. You can also see how much more robust the E24 mounts are from the last picture. Small modification was needed to the support, drilled the two hole little bigger like described in the link above. Very easy and quick to do.

Unfortunately this didn’t cure the problem so next up are the motor mounts and shifter linkage, but I think they need to wait for the winter.
